However, later that day, Johnson unveiled the “corrected” version of the new trailer and, according to The Direct, changes were made after some backlash from fans who were unhappy that the original version featured a clip from the 2017 theatrical version of Justice League. Now, the new version replaced it with another clip that seems to be from Black Adam itself. You can check the “corrected” version below:

It is unknown yet why Warner Bros. decided to use a clip from the 2017 film in the original version. However, one thing’s for sure is that they were able to listen to the feedback from fans and were able to quickly replace it with a more acceptable version that everyone can go along with. Despite the changes, the members of the Justice League are still heavily showcased in this new trailer. It does pose a question on whether someone from that team will show up here and, according to the rumors, it looks like the Man of Steel himself might be the one who’ll probably appear. The film’s logline reads: “Nearly 5,000 years after he was bestowed with the almighty powers of the Egyptian gods—and imprisoned just as quickly—Black Adam (Johnson) is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world.” The cast also includes Pierce Brosnan, Aldis Hodge, Noah Centineo, Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari, Quintessa Swindell, Bodhi Sabongui, and Viola Davis. Jaume Collet-Serra directed the film. Also Read: New Black Adam Poster Sees the Titular Antihero Taking the DCEU Throne Black Adam is slated for release in theaters on October 21, 2022.
