Speaking with Good Morning America, Lindsay Lohan shares that one particular line from Mean Girls is always referenced to her by the fans of the film. You can watch the short interview here:

In Mean Girls, Lohan’s character, Cady, was always trying to think of ways on how to get her high school crush, Aaron Samuels, to notice her. And on one particular day, Aaron decides to ask her, ‘What day is it?’ And to Cady’s surprise, she smiles at him, gladly replying with ‘It’s October 3rd’, which became the official running joke slash ‘Mean Girls day.’

While Mean Girls was initially anticipated to have made its own sequel, Mean Girls 2 was not penned by Tina Fey (who wrote the screenplay for Mean Girls), and was created by a different creative team featuring a different set of young actors, which did not replicate or surpass its predecessor. However, Mean Girls will reportedly be having another movie — in musical form. Though there have only been a few details revealed online, Mean Girls is going to have its very own upcoming musical movie involving Tina Fey.

There may be an upcoming Mean Girls musical movie, but for now, Lindsay Lohan is set to star in Netflix’s Falling For Christmas coming this November 10, 2022.
