In case you’re unfamiliar, Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury is the latest TV anime in the Gundam franchise, and it’s the first for a long time following Iron-Blooded Orphan’s premiere seven years ago. Aside from being the first Gundam anime in years, it’s also significant for being the first TV anime in the franchise to feature a female protagonist in Suletta Mercury. While Suletta is the focus of the story, many fans have gravitated toward Chuchu, the Earthian first-year student with a grudge against any and every Spacian. She is now considered a fan favorite thanks to her brash and hot-headed personality which many viewers enjoyed seeing. After all, she went out of her way to exit her mobile suit to punch a Spacian student who sabotaged Suletta’s mobile suit. A new post on the Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury Twitter shared the concept art of Chuchu, including a step-by-step illustration of how she presses her hair down to fit her suit cap. Many fans believed at first that her hair might be too fluffy to compress down. But this new concept art showed that she indeed can, albeit with some difficulty. To give you a better idea of how big this mystery is, just a few hours after it was tweeted, the concept art got over 68k likes and nearly 40k retweets. While this mystery is already solved, fans are no doubt still excited to see more of Chuchu in the next Witch from Mercury episodes.
