In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Rosario Dawson expressed her interest in reprising the role of Claire Temple in the upcoming MCU series Daredevil: Born Again which is confirmed to star Cox and D’Onofrio. She also shared her excitement about the actors’ return and felt that she still has unfinished business with her character.
“Oh yeah. For sure. You don’t even see her in that last “tell Claire to go home” moment on Luke Cage. So what is that? You know it’s terrible. So, yeah, I’d be super curious, but I’m just so stoked for everybody, though,” Dawson said.
“It’s been a long time coming. I was really excited to know that all of our shows are actually part of the MCU now, with Charlie [Cox] and Vincent [D’Onofrio] coming over into these different projects now. So, yeah, 18 episodes [of Daredevil: Born Again]? I’m there! Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, they know where I am.”
It looks like Dawson is very much game on reprising her role in the new Daredevil series and it would be interesting to see whether it will end up happening. A lot of fans will certainly be delighted if she’ll come back in the role and reunite with Cox and D’Onofrio and potentially her other Daredevil co-stars.
While you might consider the fact that the actress is busy playing Ahsoka Tano in the Star Wars franchise, it could also be an advantage when it comes to her scheduling since they’re both under Disney and, who knows, Kevin Feige is already eyeing her to play Claire Temple again.
