However, according to Variety, Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav confirmed during yesterday’s earnings call that The Flash’s theatrical release will still push through despite the scandals of its lead stars. He also hyped the other upcoming DCEU films and called them all “terrific.”

“We have seen The Flash, Black Adam, and Shazam 2,” Zaslav said. “We are very excited about them. We’ve seen them. We think they are terrific, and we think we can make them even better.”

It looks like Miller’s controversies won’t have any effect at all on the release of The Flash since the studio deemed it worthy of getting a theatrical release. It also sounds like they are also very confident about its quality which is why they didn’t consider the idea of shelving it.

However, the number one challenge for the marketing team is how they’re going to promote it in the midst of Miller’s controversies, which is an issue that might cloud them leading up to its release. There is a likelihood that the actor will not be involved in the press tour and have someone like Michael Keaton as the face of the promotional campaign instead.

As much as the film’s lead star is mulled with several controversies, it seems that we can still anticipate its release next year and it is good news for fans who have been looking forward to seeing it especially since it is expected to change the trajectory of the DCEU franchise moving forward.
